Authority Schemes Viewpoint/Analysis/Review(Whether one should apply for this scheme or not!) of BDA Bangalore Housing Scheme 2016 for 3280 Flats:

3280 flats of different dimensions are being constructed and offered by BDA in Alur, malagala, Halagevaderahally, Doddabanahally and Valagerahally, in the outlying areas of the city.In November,2014, the authority’s allotment of one-bedroom flats was not well received, and of the 1,400 flats notified, only around 960 were allotted. The BDA was not able to allot over 800 two-bedroom flats at three sites in the city on June 18,2015.

People looking for end use can apply for the flats as the sites are in the outskirts and will be livable in next 5 years. There are many options available from private builders as well.

While the four earlier allotment rounds saw under subscription, the latest round is also likely to be under subscribed.

  • BDA tells its giving away at cheaper, following are the disappointments
quality is never good as all their flats have toomany problems, no electricity and bwssb water in doddabanahalli, valgerahalli has lot of leakage problems, gunjur flats never completed from 4years but have been registered.Several people have gone bankcrupt. Gunjur is the worst project, seeing this senario i wont take any risk of paying money which is nearly market value and waiting to get a non vastu flat

  • After Allotment of flat, how many days given to pay the remaining amount?, if i am availing loan from bank, i will pay in single instalment.

    Dear Sir,

I have applied for allotment of a flat under this scheme announced in march 2016. Till now nobody in BDA knows when there would be a allotment. I am eager to know developments if any in this matter.

    • Hi Anees,

Did you received the allotment letter. Even I am checking every day but no luck.

Any idea whether they will refund the allotment money.
